Hürmetçi Marsh, located within the borders of Hacılar district, is a wetland of international importance as it meets one of the 9 Ramsar criteria. Situated on a migratory route passing through Europe, Asia, and Africa, it is home to many bird species and possesses significant tourism potential due to its proximity to destinations such as Cappadocia and Erciyes.
The requested technical support is for consultancy assistance in preparing an Action Plan for Bringing Hürmetçi Marsh into Tourism, in accordance with measures 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 under the Services Sector Development axis in the TR72 Region 2014-2023 Regional Plan.
This consultancy aims to develop an action plan that will be the first step in integrating Hürmetçi Marsh, which holds significant potential in the TR72 Region, into the regional economy within the framework of sustainable tourism standards.
