The Amasya Tourism Master Plan, prepared by our University to enhance the tourism potential of Amasya and help shape the city’s future tourism policies, was presented to the public at an official launch program. Coordinated by the Amasya Governorship, the event was held at the Saraydüzü Barracks Building with the participation of protocol members, representatives of public institutions and organizations, tourism sector stakeholders, and members of the press. During the program, Governor of Amasya Önder Bakan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan, and Amasya Member of Parliament Haluk İpek addressed the participants. Our University was represented by Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gülcan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Burak Sakal, and Research Assistant Fatıma Tüzzehra Albayrak. Following the protocol speeches, Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gülcan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Burak Sakal delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Amasya Tourism Master Plan. The presentation focused on the city’s current tourism potential and priority areas for development, as well as strategic objectives related to tourism product diversification, sustainable tourism, destination management, and strengthening Amasya’s brand identity as a tourism destination. Taking a holistic approach to Amasya’s cultural, historical, natural, and gastronomic assets, the Amasya Tourism Master Plan provides a strategic roadmap for the sustainable development of the city’s tourism potential and the enhancement of its competitiveness as a destination.
