Prepared through our university’s academic expertise and a participatory planning approach, the Uşak Tourism Master Plan was presented to the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, during a high-level meeting attended by the provincial protocol and local administrators. Representing our university, our Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar, Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Gülcan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halil Burak Sakal, and Res. Asst. Fatıma Tüzzehra Albayrak took part in this strategic initiative. The plan comprehensively addresses strategies for destination management, enhancing tourism diversity, and the efficient use of resources by focusing on Uşak’s natural, cultural, historical, and gastronomic values. Aiming to maximize the contribution of tourism to local and regional development, the plan has been meticulously developed to provide a sustainable, competitive, and holistic perspective to the city’s long-term tourism vision.
