About our Center

The Social and Strategic Research Center (KÜN SSÇM) was established on 21 November 2018. The Center conducts interdisciplinary research on strategic fields such as economy, development, tourism, industry and offers long-term policy recommendations on these subjects.

Another aim of the center is to identify the main social, economic, demographic, and cultural problems of the Cappadocia region, to contribute to the solution of these problems and to conduct field research. In close cooperation and communication with international and national stakeholders, the Center organizes academic meetings and roundtables on strategic and policy-relevant issues and shares the results with the public on various platforms, especially in periodicals and books.

The Center publishes the Cappadocia Journal of Area Studes (CJAS), an academic and multi-disciplinary platform for original academic research and reviews.
