Sustainable Ecotourism Awareness (SEA) Project

Cappadocia University is expanding its research, development, and educational expertise in the field of sustainable tourism across Europe through the Sustainable Ecotourism Awareness (SEA) project, funded by the European Union.

The project aims to enhance the awareness of sustainability among small and medium-sized tourism enterprises in Europe, document best practices, and thereby strengthen service quality alongside environmental and social sustainability.

As part of the project, Cappadocia University will play an active role in the design and delivery of educational programs, the development of online course content, and the implementation of final assessment and evaluation processes. In addition, awareness surveys targeting tourism businesses across Europe will be designed under the coordination of the University.

Through these efforts, good practices in ecotourism will become more measurable, shareable, and scalable, contributing to the sustainable transformation of the tourism sector across the continent.
